About

We bring order to how businesses run.

Shawmut helps service businesses replace a tangle of spreadsheets and disconnected tools with one system that holds together, and a real AI strategy on top of it.

Why we exist

Most businesses outgrow their systems.

We kept seeing it. Companies with real revenue and real teams, still running on spreadsheets and a dozen tools that don’t talk to each other, with everyone solving the same problems their own way. Real growth, sitting on operational chaos.

So we started peeling back the layers. We unify the tools a business already relies on into one system, so the whole company runs on one coherent story instead of a hundred personal workarounds.

As AI matured, we leaned into it. A shared AI strategy, layered onto the systems a business already runs, cuts the repetitive work a computer does better anyway, and gives people back their time for the work humans do best.

The team

Careers spent untangling the same kinds of messes.

We don’t work from a template. We work from the judgment of having seen enough to know which patterns matter. Show us your stack and we’ll tell you what we see.

Baz Filmer

Partner, Strategy & Systems

Baz spent years in operations and business systems at Whoop before leaving to build that same kind of internal software for other companies. Shawmut started as a low-code and Airtable practice for founder-led businesses. As AI-assisted development matured, the picture changed: a small team could now ship custom systems faster than a low-code platform could be configured, and without the platform ceiling. That shift is what Shawmut AI is built around.

Cole Crescas, Engineering Partner at Shawmut AI

Cole Crescas

Partner, Engineering

Cole is the technical depth behind Shawmut AI. An engineer with deep hands-on experience building production AI systems, he works at the model layer every day: connecting AI to business data, building the integrations that let assistants do real work, and shipping the parts that need to hold up under real load. On engagements, Cole picks the right models for the problem, wires them into your data, and makes sure the AI parts of your system are reliable enough to bet on.
